Associate Level Practicum

Practicum Requirements

• Trainees complete ten observations over two academic years.

• The trainee must work with a 1:1 student with a profile of dyslexia for a minimum of two times per week for 45-minutes on non-consecutive days.

• During the observation, the Fellow or Fellow-in-Training provides live feedback, coaching, and step-by-step guidance. The Fellow will set goals with each trainee to work on between observations.

• After the observation, the trainee reflects on the feedback and implements their personal goals during their teaching to grow in their ability as an OG practitioner.

• Trainees learn to write a student profile and annotated three-lesson series as part of their practicum experience at this level.
