Classroom Educator Level Practicum
Practicum Requirements
• The practicum takes place over an academic year (minimum 8 months) and involves five observations of the trainee working with a small group (at least two students) or a whole class.
• The trainee must work with their practicum group for a minimum of two times per week for 45-minutes on non-consecutive days.
• Prior to each observation the trainee submits a written summary of assigned Academy readings.
• During the observation, the Fellow or Fellow-in-Training provides live feedback, coaching, and step-by-step guidance. The Fellow will set goals with each trainee to work on between observations.
